Yes. Everything in Red inQ is password protected. Every user is assigned a role in Red inQ: Administrator, Teacher, or Student. Administrators and teachers can access necessary information. Another security mechanism ensures that teachers and administrators can only access assessment results at their level or below.

Are the reports password protected?
Yes. Each user has to be assigned rights in order to view reports.

Can existing items be copied and then modified?
Yes. Each item when altered creates a modified copy for that user. However, other users can view the original item.

Test Development and Content Management

Can users create tests?
Yes. Red inQ allows users such as testing administrators, teachers, or curriculum specialists to author tests at any time from any computer with a standard Web browser. The school system designates appropriate persons to create assessments. The test developers create the tests, the sections, the questions, the answer choices, and the grading standards. The user interface guides the test developer through the necessary assigning properties.

Can test features include random-item selection?
Yes. As tests are created, the test developer determines the minimum and maximum number of sections and questions included on the tests from a large section and question bank. Sections, questions, and answer choices can be generated randomly. These features make it possible to administer a completely different test to each student taking the test.

Are the tests timed or untimed?
Both. For security, Red inQ allows test developers to determine a test-time limit, decide whether the test takers can "pause" a test, and even require a "Proctor" ID and Password to be entered by a trusted third party before the student can take the test. When the time limit runs out for a test, the student is prompted to "submit" the test for grading. The student does not have access to the test after time expires, unless otherwise defined by the test developer.

Red inQ also can be customized to allow individual sections to be assigned time limits. In a test where the test and individual sections have time limits, the test taker is not allowed in the section longer than the section time limit. Once a test is assigned, a student simply logs into Red inQ, goes into the testing center and takes the assigned assessment. Red inQ makes the test immediately accessible to the student within the timeframe specified.

Can a test be assigned to an individual student?
Yes.

Can a test be assigned to a group of students?
Yes.

Reports

Are test results immediately available?
Once the student completes the test, Red inQ automatically scores the test. The results of the tests are scored and displayed according to the requirements specified during the assignment process. Reports are immediately available to students, teachers, and administrators. Various levels of results are available to students, including the ability to see all results immediately, see summary information only, see summary information plus the entire test again, or see all of the above with some instructional feedback or no result at all.

Yes.

Can results be reported by teacher or class?
