Overview

 

LG Electronics is a major global player in electronics and telecommunications, operating 72 subsidiaries and employing 55,000 employees worldwide. They are strengthening their core competencies to further their reputation as the "Digital Leader" in electronic products and equipment. LG Electronics has been implementing Six Sigma techniques as a quality improvement tool since 1996.

We believe that we are helping them achieve this in an even bigger way.

The Challenge

 

To ensure that LG's huge worldwide workforce was trained and qualified on 6 Sigma, intensive learning sessions were provided. Then came the difficult bits.

  • Instant online evaluation on performance
  • Support statistical and mathematical questions
  • Questions jumbled to provide fair assessments
  • Tests, most critically, to be available seamlessly across all facilities and
  • Intuitive navigation through the authoring and test environment.

Further, the diverse background of the employees implied that the questions had to be available in various languages and styles.

Lastly, the Assessment tool needed to be ready for use in two months!

The Hurix Solution

 

Using our assessment application Red inQ, as the base platform, we went to work. LG Electronics was given access to Red inQ and all additional requirements were discussed and frozen in the design phase.

All project variables - technology and presentation - were identified and completed on schedule LG's satisfaction. We then began the SDLC and worked towards creating eTest.

Throughout the project, LG Electronics was provided continuous online access to the work in progress to allow for familiarity with the application. This was novel in its approach. It gave them a chance to use various features of the assessment tools.

Red inQ eTest implementation at LG is complete. We have delivered what we promised.
